Official Placelist · London · 47 pubs
Pubs next to parks, heaths and commons - gardens and bowls for the dog, then ranked by fair journey for everyone travelling.
Meeting a mate is complicated enough without a dog doing interpretive dance at the end of the lead. Do you leave them at home, or bring them along and spend the journey wondering whether 'dog-friendly' means 'genuinely welcome' or 'tolerated, grudgingly, in the bit of garden nearest the bins'?

That's the knot FairWhere is built to untie. We judge whole journeys rather than the midpoint, then go hunting for pubs where dogs aren't merely permitted but actively courted — water bowls on the floor, a jar of biscuits behind the bar, a fire to flop in front of.
To make the cut, a pub had to be properly dog-welcoming indoors (not just the garden), good enough that the humans want to stay too, easy to reach from a station, and near a park, heath, common or river. We've spread them across North, East, South, West and Central London, and checked every one is still pulling pints in 2026.
Here they keep the biscuits at nose height and nobody blinks when I claim the best seat by the fire. Ten out of ten. Would drool again.

Filter by what you're doing
Best when the plan is walk the dog, then a pint with a garden or water bowl - not a random dog-welcome room downtown. Shortlist here, then rank for the humans’ Tube rides. Pair with Dog walk and a pint geos (Heath, Victoria Park, Greenwich, Richmond, Regent’s Park) when the walk is stop 1.
This shortlist is ready to rank - journeys first, then book.
