Filtered for Rainy Day, then ranked by journey fairness for your group.
Meet on the South Bank still sends people to three different bits of the same river. The stretch opposite the Strand, from Waterloo toward London Bridge, is full of foyers, terraces, gardens and station pins you can text. Rank a named landmark first, then walk from Tube or rail. These pins stay the same on Between the Bridges Oktoberfest weekends (25 September to 17 October 2026): same list, clearer walk to Queen's Walk.
25 Sep to 17 Oct 2026: Between the Bridges Oktoberfest weekends
Between the Bridges hosts Oktoberfest weekends from 25 September to 17 October 2026 on Queen's Walk, with sessions from 6pm on Friday and Saturday (25 to 26 September, 2 to 3 October, 9 to 10 October, and 16 to 17 October). This list is still the meet pins, not a festival programme. Text a foyer, terrace, garden or station pin, then walk to the site together. Check the official South Bank Oktoberfest listing for tickets and lineup. We do not invent extra events on this stretch.
South Bank stretches for about a mile. Your friends still need a pin.
Pick the foyer, terrace, garden or station pin, share it, then walk. If someone is late, the pin still works.
Waterloo is the shortest rail start for Queen's Walk. Embankment and Charing Cross cross the Hungerford footbridges. Southwark and Blackfriars land mid-Bank. London Bridge covers the east end. Rank the meet so nobody walks a river mile the wrong way.
After you have met, continue to North Meets South for a riverside pint, Free Museums if you want a gallery, or After-work drinks. Other walks start from Walk and a pint or FairWhere home. Official dates live on the South Bank Oktoberfest listing.
Culture without a ticket, foyers, riverside terraces and Tate Modern's Turbine Hall are free to enter.
Weather options, indoor foyers when it rains, Jubilee Gardens when it is fine.
Food nearby, Borough Market, Gabriel's Wharf and plenty of riverside choices.
Transport, Waterloo, Embankment, Blackfriars, Southwark and London Bridge all feed in.
Shareable pin, a named foyer beats somewhere on the river.
Text the landmark, not the neighbourhood.
Pick a filtered meeting point, rank the meet so the journey works for everyone, then share the venue name in the group chat.
Filters narrow the kind of rendezvous. Rank the pin after you pick the type.

The warm indoor foyer
South Bank, Strand to London Bridge
A huge free foyer with a café and a roof, open Tuesday to Sunday. Tell everyone the RFH foyer and nobody ends up shivering under Hungerford Bridge. Sofas, toilets, a cafe for the chronically early, and a roof when the river turns spiteful. It is the South Bank's best rainy-day rendezvous and the least ambiguous indoor landmark on the stretch. Fair via Waterloo and Embankment: District, Bakerloo, Northern and Jubilee all feed in. On Oktoberfest weekends it is the nearest indoor wait if someone is late or the river is packed. Meet in the foyer, then walk to Queen's Walk together.
