Can the dog be off the lead on the Heath?

On much of the Heath, dogs may be off-lead if under control. Keep them on a lead where notices say so. Dogs are not allowed in the bathing ponds (except designated dog-swim sites). On the Kenwood estate dogs are welcome on a lead; off-lead only where Kenwood allows it (West Meadow).

Parliament Hill can feel busy at peak times; quieter pockets may be further into the woods. Vale of Health, Millfield Lane and Golders Hill (when open) are calmer meets if the dog hates crowds.
