Filtered for Big-night Splurge + By A Bridge + Central Neutral Ground + On/By The River, then ranked by journey fairness for your group.
Ask a north Londoner to come south of the river and you'd think you'd invited them to summit K2 in flip-flops. Ask a south Londoner to nip up to Angel and watch the colour drain from their face. The Thames is 250-odd metres of water that Londoners have somehow turned into a moral boundary.

FairWhere exists to end that nonsense, and this list is the peace treaty. When your group is split north and south, the genuinely fair answer isn't a postcode fudge — it's the river itself. This cluster covers the South Bank and Bankside: the walkable stretch from the Southbank Centre and Waterloo, past the Oxo Tower and Blackfriars, down to Borough and London Bridge.
We chose for river views, proper booking info, confirmed 2026 opening, honest reviews, a decent spread along the bank, and a hard 'would a group of eight actually enjoy this?' test.
I swore I'd never cross the river. Then FairWhere parked us on a terrace by Blackfriars and I realised the south has been hoarding the good views this whole time.
