A riverside inn that's been pouring since the 1600s, hard by Southwark Bridge with a terrace over the Thames. Samuel Pepys reputedly watched the Great Fire from near here; you'll watch tourists photograph the skyline. Fair because it's five minutes from London Bridge (Northern, Thameslink, Jubilee) and an easy walk from the north over Southwark Bridge. Useful detail: inside it's a proper warren of low-beamed rooms, so nominate a meeting spot at the door or you'll lose half your group to the labyrinth before the first round lands.
